For a group project we put together ekphrastic chapbooks. My group wrote on Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams. This poem opens our chapbook, and it’s my favorite out of the works I contributed to the project.

I’ve Been Found Out!
Was looking at how so many people suddenly came to check out my writings and found out that one of the artists whose work I wrote poetry on discovered the poem on her art. I’m sort of embarrassed to be honest. Anyway, here’s a link to her livejournal: .puke bitter water.. She apparently speaks Chinese (so many kanji! I’m learning Japanese, and umm that’s nuts), and has some pretty funny stuff up (even though I can’t read a lot of it). Check her out!

Chapters 8 & 9 (A two chapter update, CRAZY!)
I think I’m getting better at tolerating the slightly lower quality of my first draft and am getting more into the actual storytelling. I’m not sure if I’ll be correcting this work or just counting the drafting process a learning experience towards my other projects, but I can say now that I’m liking the story enough that I could see getting motivated to edit the whole of it into something truly worthwhile.
